Trained by Iyengar teacher, Leeann Carey at Planet Yoga, Hermosa Beach, California, Babs brings over 30 years experience to the practice and teaching of yoga. Sensitive to the needs of her students, Babs creates a safe, nurturing environment, encouraging students to work from the inside out, allowing the breath to guide and support.
Using the Iyengar method of physical and energetic alignment with warmth and humor she inspires a journey of self discovery.

I am passionate about yoga and opening Visana Yoga ten years ago has been an amazing journey into self discovery and growth for me. I have both Hatha and Anusara training and teach a heart centered style of yoga. I recently received my 500 hour training certificate.
I believe practicing yoga enhances our lives by teaching us how to find balance in mind, body and spirit through all of life's challenges. Breathing and inner focus, as well as fun, are an important part of my classes with an emphasis on present moment awareness.

Christine received her 200 hour yoga teacher certification from Inner Freedom Yoga in Arcata, CA in 2016, and is working on her kids yoga certification through Cosmic Kids Yoga. She is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant currently working in outpatient rehabilitation in Brookings. Christine has 15 years of experience working in a variety of rehab settings including sports, balance and functional therapy in community and home environments. Christine’s goal is to combine the synergy of physical therapy and yoga to create a fun, heart centered and accessible practice for every body.
